Since 2015, we have been taking veterans and serving personnel to the battlefield of Waterloo to undertake a programme of archaeology and welfare support, focussing on the five pillars of Recovery, Wellbeing, Transition into Civilian Life, Education and Employment.
In 2022, we are running five veteran support programmes supporting more than 50 veterans: our Virtual Programme, Finds Programme, Creative Arts Programme, and Battlefields Uncovered course, alongside the return of our Excavation Programme on the battlefield of Waterloo. Find out more about our programmes here.
Many of the military personnel we support have experienced service-related injuries or suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).Find out more about the people Waterloo Uncovered supports and how we support them here.
We rely on support from organisations and individuals to continue our work.
With your support we can continue to provide the opportunity for veterans and serving personnel to make progress along their journey to recovery and wellbeing.
We run 5 unique veteran support programmes combining archaeology with wellbeing support.
