Waterloo Uncovered, the charity combining veteran care and recovery with archaeology on the Waterloo battlefield, is delighted to invite you to our annual fundraiser, this year held at the stunning National Gallery in the heart of London and hosted by the fabulous Gyles Brandreth.

Tickets, which include delicious drinks and a selection of canapés, are just £50. All proceeds directly support veterans and serving personnel.

Set in the stunning Barry Rooms, a breath-taking domed ceiling, beautifully detailed marble pillars and an unrivaled British portrait collection will provide the perfect backdrop to what is sure to be a night to remember.

An Evening at the National Gallery presents a unique opportunity to go behind the scenes and after hours at one of London's most iconic venues. Set in the stunning Julia and Hans Rausing Room, an ornate glass ceiling, dramatic lighting and 17th century Italian baroque masterpieces including works by Caravaggio, Guercino, Gentileschi and Reni will provide the perfect backdrop to what is sure to be a night to remember.

Live Auction

During the evening, you'll have the opportunity to bid in a live auction with some amazing lots up for grabs, hosted by antiques expert and Bargain Hunt frontman Charlie Ross - and you'll be supporting veterans and serving personnel with every bid!

As part of the evening, we’re running a prize draw with two great prizes on offer. Tickets are just £5 and can be purchased when booking your entrance ticket.

The draw is open to everyone - whether you're able to join us at the event or not - and the winners will be announced on the night.

Veteran support

We provide life-changing support for veterans and serving personnel through five bespoke programmes and year round wellbeing support. With your support, we can help even more veterans recover from the traumas of war, pursue their passions and transition to civilian life.

All proceeds from the evening go directly towards supporting veterans and serving personnel.

Private Tour

Enjoy a private tour of the National Gallery conducted by an expert art historian, including a welcome drink. Tickets can be purchased when booking your entrance ticket.

Tours will take place directly before (5:30-6:30pm) the main event begins - but are open to everyone, even if you're not able to join us for the full evening.

The closest car parks are in Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square.

Arriving By Public Transport

The nearest Underground stations are Charing Cross (Northern & Bakerloo line), Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly & Bakerloo line) and Leicester Square (Piccadilly & Northern line), all within 5 minutes walk. Tottenham Court Road (Elizabeth line) is 10 minutes walk away. The closest train station is Charing Cross.

Yes, level access is available via the Sainsbury Wing entrance, and lifts are then available to reach the Barry Rooms on the second floor.

The nearest tube station with step-free access from platform to street level is Westminster station (Jubilee, District & Circle lines). Then take buses 12, 24, 88 or 453 to Trafalgar Square.

There is one Blue Badge holder parking space on nearby Orange Street - please note that 48 hours advance booking is required on 020 7747 2885 to reserve this space. Adapted bathrooms are available at the venue.
