Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton is a retired army officer and former private secretary to Princes William and Harry. He currently works in business and acts as trustee for The Royal Foundation. His key experiences include the military, government, international relationships and charity management.
“My interests cover all of Waterloo Uncovered’s themes: since childhood I’ve been fascinated by archaeology, and when I was 12, my father took me to Waterloo to show me where two of my ancestors fought, one of whom was killed. We had tea with the farmer at Hougoumont, who showed us his jars full of musket balls — I was hooked!
Not only is Waterloo Uncovered a fascinating archaeology project: it also delivers veteran welfare and recovery, that have been a key focus of mine as a trustee of the Royal Foundation through initiatives like the Invictus Games and the Endeavour Fund.”
