Gibraltar Rock Relay Run
On the 21st October 2022 (Trafalgar Day), a team of veterans from across the branches of the armed forces will take on an amazing challenge: a gruelling relay run up and down the iconic, 1,398 ft high Rock of Gibraltar! The money raised from this incredible challenge will fund Waterloo Uncovered's five unique veteran support programmes, which combine archaeology and military history with veteran care and recovery, designed to support those who have served their country when they need it the most. These programmes combine year round wellbeing support from an experienced Wellbeing Team, with archaeology, creative arts, education, social activities to improve wellbeing and combat loneliness, and help transitioning into civilian life. Find out more here.
Support our veterans as they take on a challenge to help other veterans who are suffering from the mental and physical impacts of their service!
There are still 2 places left to take part in the Rock Relay Run - if you're a veteran or serving military personnel and feel that you're up to the challenge, please email b.mead@waterloouncovered.com for more information. We look forward to hearing from you.
The Rock Relay Run is supported by The Royal Gibraltar Regiment, the Gibraltar Tourism Board, the Gibraltar Chronicle, the Gibraltar Sport and Leisure Authority and the Gibraltar Nature Reserve.
