In our chapel trench, even more of the building's remains have been unearthed - but unfortunately, with our dig drawing to a close, we had to back fill the trench and cover it up until we return to Waterloo.
And with that, our 2023 excavation season wrapped up! This year, we supported veterans from six different countries, excavated two exciting features near Hougoumont farm, uncovered hundreds of finds, and welcomed Ukrainian veterans to the team for the first time. Thank you to everyone who has made this year's dig possible, supported us, and followed along.
We wouldn't be able to support veterans like those on this years dig, or continue our groundbreaking archaeology work, without the generosity of our supporters and donors.
Please consider making a donation today as we help even more veterans find peace from war.
